Portal - File Transfers

Portal by PushBullet is a small app for file transfers from your PC to your Android device. They have to be on the same WiFi network. The connection between the PC and the Android device is activated by scanning a QR code on the Portal website - similar to Whatsapp Web activation.
PushBullet can also transfer files and has many other clever features, so what is the point of Portal? Maybe that it is so simple - just doing one task, and doing it very well. For bigger files Portal is better and quicker than PushBullet - but I would prefer using my USB cable for larger files.
